Gala Fertility Reviews: Cost, Testing, Treatment and Our Verdict
By the Fertility Treatment Guide Editorial Team · Last verified: October 27, 2026
Gala Fertility is worth considering if you are an eligible couple wanting a coordinated workup and virtual follow-up in one program. Its strongest feature is the connection between testing both partners and discussing the results with a clinician. The main unresolved buying question is price: we could verify what Gala says its bundle includes, but its public fertility page did not display a dollar amount when checked.
Two limits matter before enrollment: IUI, IVF and other referred in-person care are excluded, and the reviews displayed on Gala's fertility page come from its other health programs. They are not evidence of fertility treatment success. [1]
Affiliate disclosure: We may earn a commission if you enroll through our Gala links. This is an independent review of published information, not a personal treatment account. We have not used the program, interviewed its fertility patients or independently verified its pregnancy outcomes. Our methodology explains how we compare services.

What is Gala Fertility?
Gala is a virtual-first care option for couples who want help understanding their fertility and deciding what to do next. Its couples model makes both partners part of the assessment, rather than treating a female hormone result as the entire answer.
That approach is relevant because a fertility evaluation may need to investigate ovulation, sperm, the uterus and fallopian tubes. ASRM recommends beginning both partners' evaluations together when a male partner is contributing to the pregnancy. A test result only becomes useful when it is interpreted alongside the rest of that evaluation. [2]
Gala names Dr. Joshua U. Klein as its fertility medical director and describes specialist leadership. That does not establish that Dr. Klein will personally conduct your visits. Ask who your treating clinician will be, their credentials and how specialist advice is accessed if your results are complex. [1]
What does the Gala program include?
Gala publishes one program price covering both partners. Its testing information describes bloodwork and pelvic ultrasound for the female partner, a home semen analysis kit for the male partner, and male bloodwork when clinically indicated. The care pathway includes a joint results discussion and follow-up. [3]
The list is helpful, but “included” still needs to be connected to your particular plan. Ask which orders will be placed for you, whether existing reports can be used and what happens if a sample needs to be repeated.
Published testing inclusions
| Part of the program | What Gala lists |
|---|---|
| Female fertility bloodwork | AMH, FSH, estradiol, LH, prolactin and TSH |
| Preconception infection screening | HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis |
| Immunity screening | Varicella, rubella and measles immunity |
| Pelvic imaging | Transvaginal ultrasound of the ovaries and uterus |
| Male semen analysis | Semen volume, pH, sperm concentration, motility and morphology, using a kit sent home |
| Male bloodwork, only if the clinician indicates it | FSH, LH, TSH, total and free testosterone, and SHBG |
This is Gala's published inclusion list, not a guideline-required checklist for every person trying to conceive. The appropriate investigation depends on your history and findings. For example, routine thyroid or prolactin testing is not necessary for everyone under ASRM's 2026 evaluation guidance. Ask what each proposed test would change in your care. [1] [2] [3]
Testing is more useful when the next step is clear
The most important question is not how many markers appear on a panel. It is whether the chosen tests address your history and the results lead to a sensible action.
For example:
- If periods are absent or unpredictable, the clinician needs to assess the ovulation problem rather than simply give you an app-based timing plan.
- If a semen result is abnormal, the next step may involve repeat testing or a reproductive urologist.
- If imaging suggests a uterine issue, the clinician may need more detailed assessment.
- If a result suggests diminished ovarian reserve, age and the rest of the clinical picture determine how urgently specialist advice is needed.
A standard pelvic ultrasound does not establish whether the fallopian tubes are open. Ask whether HSG or another appropriate tubal assessment is needed in your case and where it would be performed. The absence of that test from a bundled list does not automatically mean it is unnecessary. [2]
Our fertility testing guide explains what a broader workup can involve.
Treatment and follow-up
Gala describes prescribed medication shipped by a licensed US pharmacy, a check-in at the end of each cycle, messaging and up to six treatment cycles. Prescription decisions are individualized; an intake does not guarantee medication. Gala also states that off-label prescribing may occur, with an explanation from the clinician. [4]
Six cycles is a program maximum, not a promise of pregnancy or a rule that you should wait six months before seeing a specialist. Ask what would cause the plan to change earlier and how progress is assessed from one cycle to the next.
What is not included?
Gala explicitly excludes IUI, IVF and other in-person care after a referral. [1]
This matters financially and clinically. If your results point toward a procedure, a bundle for initial evaluation and virtual treatment will not cover that next stage. Ask for the referral plan and the receiving clinic's estimate before assuming the original fee is your whole fertility budget.
The public description also does not settle every possible billing question. Before paying, confirm the treatment plan's approach to additional imaging, repeat testing, extra monitoring, supplements, pregnancy confirmation and care after the program ends. These are questions to resolve, not claims that Gala charges for or excludes each item.

How much does Gala Fertility cost?
We could not verify an exact public dollar price for the fertility program. The public page describes a bundled price, but that does not establish the amount, the installment schedule or the cancellation terms. A price from Gala's weight loss or hormone services should not be applied to fertility care.
Ask Gala for these details in writing:
| Billing question | Why it changes the decision |
|---|---|
| What is the total price for both partners? | Establishes the actual program cost rather than a headline installment |
| Is payment upfront, monthly or an installment obligation? | A monthly payment can represent different commitments |
| Does stopping early reduce the amount owed? | Cancellation of care and cancellation of a payment obligation can differ |
| What happens if the clinician finds us ineligible or refers us immediately? | Determines the financial risk of starting the assessment |
| What happens if we become pregnant before using the remaining cycles? | Clarifies unused services and any continuing charges |
| What is included if a test must be repeated or monitoring changes? | Identifies possible expenses beyond the initial orders |
| Is there any renewal or charge after six cycles? | Makes the endpoint and ongoing commitment clear |
Until those terms are known, it is not possible to calculate a reliable cost per cycle or declare Gala the cheapest option.
How to compare its price fairly
Compare the same set of services: both partners' testing, imaging, results review, medication if appropriate and the follow-up you are likely to use. Do not compare a full program quote with a standalone hormone test or an appointment fee.
For context, Sesame publishes a $119 monthly fertility care fee, or $99 for Costco members, with labs and medications billed separately. Kindbody's virtual-consultation page lists a $150 out-of-pocket virtual specialist consultation and a separate $300 in-clinic assessment; confirm the price when booking, since its other pricing pages may describe different consultation services. These are different products, not equivalent packages. [5] [6]
Use our fertility testing cost comparison to identify what is missing from each quote.
Who is Gala Fertility a reasonable fit for?
It is most worth exploring when you meet the published enrollment criteria, both partners want an evaluation and you value one process for testing, results and follow-up. Confirm clinical suitability with the provider; a website eligibility check cannot replace that decision.
Who needs another route?
Gala's published couples-only model does not cover every family-building situation. If you are an individual, a couple outside its stated male-female eligibility or someone needing donor-related services, look for a provider that explicitly supports your intended pathway.
If you live in New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island, the current fertility page excludes your state. Do not apply the parent company's availability for other treatments to this program. [1]
And if you already know you have a condition requiring in-person specialist care, ask whether it makes sense to go directly to that specialist. Gala itself describes referral for findings such as blocked tubes, low ovarian reserve, uterine changes or certain semen results. [1]
What about PCOS, low AMH or an abnormal semen result?
| Situation | What to clarify before choosing a program |
|---|---|
| PCOS with irregular or absent ovulation | Whether the clinician can evaluate the cause, assess other fertility factors and provide an appropriate monitoring plan |
| Low AMH or concern about age | Whether specialist review is appropriate now; AMH alone does not determine your chance of natural conception |
| Abnormal semen analysis | Who arranges repeat testing or a reproductive urology consultation and how quickly |
| Suspected blocked tubes or significant pelvic disease | What targeted testing or in-person care is needed before medication-based treatment |
| Already completed testing | Whether the clinician will accept existing reports and whether that changes the program price |
| Previous unsuccessful treatment | What additional information the new service can provide and what will trigger escalation |
These situations need individualized decisions. The useful question is whether the service can answer your clinical question without delaying the care you need.

What do Gala Fertility reviews actually tell us?
Gala's fertility page displays company reviews and explicitly identifies them as coming from patients in its other programs. Those comments may describe aspects of the wider company's service, but they cannot establish the fertility program's quality, treatment effectiveness or pregnancy rate. [1]
We did not identify an independently audited fertility outcome report in the materials reviewed. That is an evidence gap, not proof that the program works poorly. It means we cannot responsibly give a success percentage or rate it against another clinic's fertility outcomes.
A meaningful outcome report would need to explain who was treated, ages and diagnoses, treatment type, number starting treatment, follow-up and the outcome being counted. A positive pregnancy test, clinical pregnancy and live birth are different outcomes. An undifferentiated company review score supplies none of that context.
We therefore do not reproduce company stars as a Gala Fertility rating, invent patient stories or describe this desk review as hands-on testing.
Strengths and limitations of the model
What we like
Both partners are part of the process. That aligns with the need to consider sperm alongside female reproductive factors when both partners contribute to conception. It can reduce the burden of one person being treated as solely responsible for the problem.
Results are connected to clinician follow-up. The benefit is an opportunity to understand what a result means for the next decision, rather than receiving a number without a plan.
The published pathway acknowledges referrals. Appropriate care should change when the findings require something outside the program's scope. The presence of a virtual pathway should not make in-person care harder to access.
These are advantages of the described service design, not proven improvements in pregnancy outcomes or measured convenience for actual patients.
What would make the decision clearer
A visible numeric price and full billing terms would make comparison easier. More fertility-specific outcome and patient-experience evidence would strengthen the basis for a recommendation. Prospective patients should also obtain detail about monitoring, referral arrangements and the handoff after pregnancy or after the final cycle.
The narrower relationship and state eligibility may rule out Gala for some readers. Those readers should choose a service built around their needs rather than trying to fit a program that excludes them.
What happens after you start?
The published pathway moves from a shared intake to testing, a joint video discussion and then a clinician-guided plan where appropriate. [3] [4]
Your own timeline depends on test scheduling, cycle timing, sample processing, results and the recommended next step. We did not verify a guaranteed turnaround time, appointment wait or message-response standard for this review.
Before a visit, gather both partners' relevant records and write down your main questions. After the visit, make sure you know:
- What has been found and what remains uncertain.
- Whether any additional evaluation is needed before treatment.
- Who orders each test and explains it.
- How treatment response will be checked.
- When the plan will be reviewed or escalated.
- Who to contact for a time-sensitive concern.
Do not wait for routine fertility messaging if you develop a medical emergency. Severe pelvic pain, fainting or heavy bleeding, especially with a possible pregnancy, requires prompt medical attention.
Gala alternatives worth comparing
Sesame is a genuine alternative if monthly virtual management with an IVI RMA referral connection suits you. Include its separate laboratory, imaging, medication and procedure costs in your comparison. [5]
Kindbody offers a virtual fertility-specialist consultation and separate clinic assessments. It can be a useful route when your immediate need is a specialist conversation. Verify your actual insurance benefits and the relevant location's services. [6]
CCRM or a local REI clinic may make more sense when you need a specialist-led investigation or expect to require in-person procedures. CCRM offers telehealth and in-person specialist consultation pathways; obtain a local quote. [7]

Frequently asked questions
Is Gala Fertility legitimate?
Gala publishes a defined fertility program, named medical leadership and a clinician-led care model. That is different from an independently verified claim about outcomes. Before enrollment, confirm the identity and license of your treating clinician, the exact payable terms and the service available where you live.
Does Gala prescribe letrozole?
The public program description says medication is provided if prescribed, but we did not verify a guaranteed fertility drug list. Ask the treating clinician what medication, if any, is appropriate. Our letrozole for fertility guide explains its clinical uses and limits.
Can we buy only the tests?
Gala markets the program as couples testing and care. Do not assume a test-only or single-person price exists. Confirm that directly before enrolling, particularly if you already have your own doctor managing treatment.
Is a low AMH result a reason to give up?
No. AMH is not a yes-or-no test of whether you can conceive. It must be interpreted with age, history and other findings. Ask for timely specialist guidance when indicated rather than making a treatment decision from a number alone. [2]
Does the six-cycle offer include IVF?
No. Gala explicitly excludes referred in-person care, including IUI and IVF. The six-cycle description should not be read as six IVF cycles. [1]
Can I cancel if I get pregnant?
We did not verify a fertility-specific cancellation or unused-cycle refund promise from the public program description. Obtain the applicable written terms before paying and ask how clinical follow-up and billing work after pregnancy.
Should I wait a year before starting?
Not necessarily. Age and medical history matter, and known fertility concerns can warrant earlier assessment. Irregular or absent periods, for example, should not be ignored simply because you have not tried for 12 months. [2]
Our independent verdict
Gala is a strong option to investigate for eligible couples who want coordinated testing and virtual follow-up. Its value depends on your actual quote, the clinician's plan and how well the program matches the care you need.
If that describes you, check Gala's current eligibility and request the full price. Confirm the billing terms and any extra testing or monitoring before committing. If you already need a different family-building service or direct specialist treatment, take that route now.
